City Boy Movement Aims for One Million Votes for Tinubu in 2027 Election

The City Boy Movement, part of the All Progressives Congress in Ondo State, has promised to gather one million votes for President Bola Tinubu in the January 2027 presidential election. This announcement was made during a campaign rally in Ikare-Akoko on Tuesday.

Oluwafemi Ayejusunle, the state director of the movement, emphasized the importance of residents obtaining their Permanent Voter Cards. He noted that many registered voters in the state had not participated in past elections.

Ayejusunle pointed out that Ondo State has about 2.5 million registered voters. In the last election, only 369,000 votes went to Tinubu, leaving around 1.9 million voters who did not cast their ballots. The movement aims to engage these voters to support Tinubu in the upcoming election.

He expressed confidence that Tinubu would win, as he believes Nigerians are now more aware of the government’s actions and achievements. Ayejusunle stated, “Nigerians have seen what he has been doing. This time around, they will ensure that he is re-elected.”

At the rally, Tajudeen Ogun, the Ondo North Senatorial Coordinator of the movement, also spoke about the administration’s successes. He highlighted the positive changes in Ondo State since Tinubu took office and mentioned the presence of several ministers from the state who are contributing to its development.

Ogun remarked on the improvements in democratic governance, stating, “Many of the things we had been yearning for over a long period are now being addressed under President Tinubu.”
