Dr. Sunday Aderibigbe Reflects on His Journey from Humble Beginnings to Success
Dr. Sunday Aderibigbe, the CEO of EB Properties, has shared his challenging journey from a tough childhood to becoming a successful global wealth strategist. In a recent interview, he opened up about his early life in Mushin, Nigeria, where he faced many obstacles.
Aderibigbe grew up in a modest family. His mother sold amala, a local dish, and his father had little education. Despite these challenges, he was determined to succeed. He began reading biographies of successful people, which inspired him to aim higher than his surroundings.
His path to higher education was not easy. Aderibigbe had to beg for transport fare to get to university, often asking strangers for small amounts of money to make the journey. He was the first in his family to attend university, studying Economics with Education at the University of Ilorin. He credits the university for preparing him well for life, emphasizing the importance of hard work and discipline.
After graduating, Aderibigbe created a five-year plan for his life, setting goals that included further education and career advancement. He eventually moved to the UK, where he faced initial struggles but persevered. His hard work paid off when he secured a job in banking and later transitioned into real estate, a field he felt passionate about.
Aderibigbe has since made it his mission to help others. He has assisted over 250 people in becoming homeowners in the UK and encourages entrepreneurship among Nigerians. He believes that while working for someone is valuable, starting a business can create more opportunities for others.
His journey has taught him that success is not just about financial gain but about positively impacting others’ lives. He finds joy in seeing how his efforts have helped people change their circumstances. Aderibigbe encourages young people to be consistent and persistent in pursuing their goals, reminding them that challenges are part of the journey.
