FinTribe Hosts Event to Empower Women in Financial Literacy and Wealth Creation

Women, financial experts, and industry leaders came together at the 2026 FinTribe Finance Fair to explore ways to create wealth and improve financial knowledge. The event, organized by FinTribe, included representatives from financial institutions, entrepreneurs, and professionals who shared strategies for managing money and achieving financial independence.

Jennifer Awirigwe, the founder of FinTribe, emphasized the organization’s dedication to helping women gain the knowledge and confidence needed to make smart financial choices. She noted that the FinTribe community has grown to include women from 47 countries, who have invested over $8 million together.

Awirigwe highlighted recent developments, such as the expansion into real estate, the launch of the World Women’s Academy, and a new mobile app designed to connect members with resources and investment opportunities. She stated, “The most important measure of our success is not the number of people in the room, but the women who have made their first investment or started their own business.”

The theme of the fair, ‘I CAN’, aimed to inspire women to overcome barriers that hold them back from pursuing financial opportunities and building wealth. Awirigwe encouraged attendees to engage with financial experts at the event and apply what they learned to their own financial decisions.

Mr. Olufemi Shobajo, CEO of NGX Regulation Limited, praised FinTribe for its ongoing efforts to promote financial inclusion and education in Nigeria. He stressed that financial empowerment goes beyond just having access to banking services; it also requires understanding how to use those services effectively.
