NDC Launches Presidential Campaign Council in Anambra for 2027 Elections

The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) in Anambra State has officially launched its Obi/Kwankwaso Presidential Campaign Council. The inauguration took place on Wednesday at the King David Hotel in Awka, the state capital, as part of the party’s efforts to gear up for the 2027 general elections.

Ikem Uzoezie, the NDC Chairman in Anambra, emphasized that the council will manage daily campaign activities and strengthen the party’s presence across all 21 Local Government Areas in the state. He described the event as a crucial step in boosting grassroots engagement and building a strong political structure ahead of the elections.

Uzoezie stated, “This inauguration marks the start of an aggressive house-to-house mobilization aimed at securing a total victory for our presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, and other candidates in Anambra State and beyond.” He urged council members to work diligently to achieve their goals and ensure that every polling unit delivers votes for the party.

The council’s State Coordinator, Dr. Ifeamyi Ibezi, expressed enthusiasm about his role and the unity within the party. He committed to securing between 1.5 to 2 million votes for Obi in Anambra, highlighting the candidate’s growing popularity.

Ibezi compared Obi’s appeal to that of notable historical figures, stating that the NDC is well-positioned to win elections across the state. He noted that the party has established various directorates to focus on different aspects of the campaign, including media, finance, and grassroots mobilization.

Overall, the NDC is determined to make a significant impact in the upcoming elections, aiming to connect with voters in all areas of Anambra State.
