Northwest Nigeria Backs Tinubu for 2027 Presidential Election, Says Kwankwaso
Dr. Musa Illiyasu Kwankwaso, a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council, has announced that the Northwest region of Nigeria is firmly supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the 2027 elections. He made this statement during the APC presidential campaign kickoff in Kaduna.
Kwankwaso noted that the large turnout at the rally shows the region’s commitment to Tinubu’s re-election. He described the event as a clear sign of the Northwest’s political stance as the country approaches the next general elections.
He emphasized that the overwhelming support from party members and followers has put to rest any doubts about the region’s dedication to Tinubu’s campaign. Kwankwaso highlighted that the desire for national unity and fair development is driving this endorsement.
“Today, we have spoken loud and clear on who we stand for. Our choice of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu reflects our commitment to a better Nigeria,” Kwankwaso said.
He believes that Tinubu’s second term would help continue efforts toward fair distribution of resources across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones. Kwankwaso also dismissed claims that the Northwest’s support is merely transactional, asserting that the region is committed to delivering victory for Tinubu in 2027.
Kwankwaso called on political leaders to prioritize national unity and collective development over personal ambitions. He expressed confidence that the Northwest will remain solidly behind Tinubu in the upcoming election.
