Oshiomhole Critiques Obi and Atiku at APC Rally in Cross River State
Senator Adams Oshiomhole has criticized former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi and former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar, questioning their ability to lead Nigeria as the 2027 general election approaches. Oshiomhole made these comments during a campaign rally for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Cross River State.
Oshiomhole claimed that Obi failed to solve the problems in Anambra State during his eight years as governor. He challenged Obi’s promise to govern Nigeria effectively in just four years, asking, “If Peter Obi could not fix Anambra State in eight years, how can he look you korokoro in the eye and say he will do it in four years?”
He also targeted Atiku, suggesting that he spends most of his time in Dubai and only returns to Nigeria during election seasons. Oshiomhole predicted that Atiku would go back to Dubai after losing the upcoming presidential election.
During the rally, Oshiomhole highlighted the achievements of President Bola Tinubu’s administration, particularly in Cross River State. He noted that the state has been recognized as an oil-producing state, which he believes will boost its revenue and economic prospects.
Oshiomhole praised the Federal Government’s student loan program, stating it helps young people whose families struggle to pay for education. He emphasized that no student should be denied educational opportunities due to financial difficulties.
He also mentioned the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road project, asserting that its completion would bring economic benefits to Cross River State. Oshiomhole defended the Tinubu administration’s economic policies, particularly the removal of multiple exchange rates, which he said had previously favored certain individuals based on their connections.
He urged residents to support the APC, expressing confidence in the party’s future in Cross River State. Oshiomhole concluded by stating, “Today, tomorrow, and forever, I believe APC has come to stay in Cross River, and together we will advance the growth and development of Nigeria.”
