Oyo Governor Urges Nigerians to Collect Voter Cards Ahead of Elections

Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde is urging Nigerians to collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) in preparation for the 2027 general elections. He emphasized that this is important regardless of who they plan to vote for.

In a video posted on his official Instagram account, Makinde showcased his own PVC and highlighted its significance as a tool for exercising the right to vote. He stated that political preferences should not prevent anyone from participating in the electoral process.

Makinde reminded citizens that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has set October 9, 2026, as the date for collecting PVCs. He encouraged everyone to take action, saying, “This is your power, irrespective of who you want to vote for.”

He concluded his message by urging Nigerians to collect their PVCs and use them wisely in the upcoming elections.
