Bishop Adelakun Encourages Hope and Perseverance at NUJ Oyo Jubilee Celebration

Bishop Taiwo Adelakun, the Founder and Presiding Bishop of Victory International Church, spoke about hope and perseverance during a recent event in Oyo State. His sermon, titled “The Story and the Goal,” took place at a thanksgiving service that kicked off the Diamond Jubilee celebration of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Oyo State Council.

The service was held at Victory International Church, located along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, and attracted many journalists from Oyo State. They were led by the State Council Chairman, Mr. Akeem Abas, along with other members of the council and leaders from the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ).

In his message, Bishop Adelakun reflected on his own life experiences, sharing the challenges he faced before achieving success. He emphasized the importance of gratitude and encouraged the congregation to stay focused and not be discouraged by setbacks. He reminded them that every phase of life has its right timing for fulfillment.

He urged people to keep faith in God, exercise patience, and appreciate the goodness in their lives, even when facing difficulties. He reassured them that God makes everything beautiful in its time, even if it is hard to see at the moment.

Mr. Akeem Abas, the NUJ Chairman, highlighted the significance of the 60th anniversary, noting that the Oyo State Council was the first NUJ state council in Nigeria. He expressed gratitude for the protection of journalists in the state and prayed for continued guidance and wisdom for the union’s members.
