Asagba of Asaba Celebrates Two Years of Peace and Development
ASABA — The Asagba of Asaba, His Royal Majesty Professor Epiphany Azinge, marked his second anniversary on the throne by emphasizing the role of peace in the city’s development. He spoke on Monday in Asaba, where local leaders praised his efforts in promoting harmony and progress.
Azinge reflected on the challenges of traditional leadership, stating that each day brings significant responsibilities. He expressed that the anniversary was not just about celebrating his achievements but recognizing the importance of peace in the community.
He noted, “Peace is the industry that we harness, and with peace comes all forms of development.” Azinge thanked the residents for their contributions to maintaining peace, calling their progress a collective achievement.
The monarch also highlighted his efforts to strengthen relationships with other traditional rulers in Delta State to promote unity. He views the people of Asaba as partners in the ongoing development of the state.
Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s Chief of Staff, Hon. Johnson Erijo, commended Azinge for his commitment to peace and security. Former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa praised the monarch for his transformative leadership and ability to connect with other traditional leaders.
Azinge attributed the progress made during his reign to divine grace and the support of the community, promising to remain humble and dedicated to serving the people of Asaba.
